Letter – Chris Gallacher : EU Membership

Dear Editor,

I noticed comments in the letters section about the risks to the jobs on Teesside and elsewhere from our exit from the EU, all scare mongering by the interest groups and the major Westminster Parties and their followers.

Where is the evidence?  The EU sells more into the UK than we do to the EU. Or products are in demand because they are the best value for money and they cannot produce them themselves. Our aircraft industries lead the world in innovation, design and production as does our automotive sectors.

Leaving the EU will return our fishing grounds to our depleted fishing Industry, energy cost for domestic and industrial use will drop by the removal of Carbon Taxes, that make our industries struggle to keep their costs under control. We will be saving a fortune in membership costs and be able to spend all we currently send to the EU on our people. Not just what they deem to let us have back.

UKIP believes in Britain and the British people unlike these mongers of doom and gloom, we bring positive and progressive policies for the people of Britain. We will make Britain better.
